Requip vs Exapro
Exapro has no upfront fee listed; commission only if it sells[1]. The standard rate is a 15% commission (minimum €1,000) added to the price; dealers with 10+ active products pay 10% (minimum €1,000) once Exapro validates you as a reseller[1]. A dedicated agent translates the listing and qualifies buyers.
Requip has no commission; first listing free, but you do the selling yourself.
Fees, commission and who does the selling
| Exapro | Requip | Source | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Listing fee | No upfront fee listed; commission only if it sells. | Basic is $0 with 1 active listing. Pro $49/mo and Enterprise $149/mo for more listings. | [1] [2] |
| Commission | 15% (minimum €1,000) standard rate, added on top of your price, paid only if the machine sells. 10% (minimum €1,000) for a professional reseller or dealer with 10+ active products, once Exapro validates you as a reseller. | No commission; first listing free. | [1] [3] |
| Worked example (theirs) | €17,000 desired → €20,000 advertised. | No commission is added to the asking price. | [1] [3] |
| Who does the selling | Exapro says a dedicated agent translates the listing and qualifies buyers. | You answer inquiries and close. Requip does not list the machine for you. | [1] |
| Payment / escrow | Not stated as escrow on the cited sell page. Commission is collected if it sells. | Requip does not process payment or offer escrow. | [1] [3] |
| Their conversion claims | Exapro says listings with a price are 3× more likely to sell, and that the average discount was 11%. Those are Exapro’s claims. | Requip publishes asking prices, not sold comps. See the market snapshot. | [1] |
| Best for | A seller who wants an agent and will pay the standard 15% (min. €1,000), or 10% as a dealer with 10+ active products once Exapro validates you as a reseller. | A seller who will do the work and keep the commission. | Reading of the cited rows; not a competitor claim. |
When Exapro is the better choice
Pay the commission when you want the agent. Exapro’s pitch is translation plus qualified buyers[1]. That is real work you would otherwise do on Requip, and it is the reason the commission exists.
Exapro also fits a priced machine in the tens of thousands of dollars or euros, where a dedicated agent is worth more than the invoice. On a $65,000 Streamfeeder line or a $49,860 Horizon HOF-400 package, 15% is a large number[1] — which is exactly when some sellers still choose the agent.
Requip’s cons on this comparison: you do the selling; there is no escrow; the audience is small (23 active listings on the 2026-10-20 snapshot[4]); Basic is one listing. If you need someone else to field the tire-kickers, Requip is the weaker product.
When Requip is the better choice
Keep the commission. Requip has no commission; first listing free. On the $65,000 Streamfeeder asking price, Exapro’s standard 15% is the whole cost argument[1].
You already know how to talk to a print shop, and you want the listing to carry bindery specs. List it and deal direct.
You have one machine. Exapro’s standard rate is 15% (min. €1,000); the 10% dealer rate applies only with 10+ active products, once Exapro validates you as a reseller[1]. Requip’s Basic plan is built for that one listing.
Worked example (live listing, cited rates only)
Live listing: Streamfeeder C-1250 six-station feeder line with bag printer, asking $65,000 (asking price, not a sold comp)[5].
Exapro’s published example is €17,000 desired → €20,000 advertised, which is desired ÷ 0.85 (15% of the advertised price)[1]. Applied to $65,000: $65,000 ÷ 0.85 = $76,470.59 advertised, commission $11,470.59. The €1,000 minimum does not apply, because 15% of $65,000 exceeds €1,000 without needing an exchange-rate guess.
The same method on the Horizon HOF-400 package at $49,860: $49,860 ÷ 0.85 = $58,658.82 advertised, commission $8,798.82[1][6].
Requip’s commission on either asking price is $0. Requip does not add a buyer-facing markup and does not take a cut if it sells. You still have to close the deal yourself.
